According to Feeding America north central Arkansas has a meal gap of 4 million meals. At the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas we have closed that gap by 2 million meals already. We have done this thanks to your donations and the work of our Partner Hunger Relief Organization across our nine county service area. To finish closing that gap we need to provide an additional 2 million meals each year.
At the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas $1 = 5 Meals!
What does 2 million additional meals look like in dollars? 2 million additional meals worth of food is approximately $400,000 additional dollars. How do we obtain 2 million additional meals for approximately $400,000? We work with Feeding America, United Way, USDA, Local G'rocery Stores, Partner Food Banks, Trucking Brokers with discounted or free loads, and other food sourcing partners. |
