How did my $20 donation help?

100% of all proceeds raised at Bridge Bash 2015 went to provide meals across the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas' nine county network of Partner Hunger Relief Organizations.

The $20 Participant donations went on the food accounts of the agencies which had people Stand Up for Hope in their name.

Every $20 Participant donation which did not have an specific agency identified was split between the food accounts of the agencies that had people Stand Up for Hope in their name.

First Security Bank's Pedal for Hunger 34 mile charity bicycle ride

Our friends at First Security Bank have been a part of Bridge Bash since its inception.  We are grateful for their generous help promoting Bridge Bash and their work to raise much needed meals through the
First Security Bank 34 Mile Charity Bike Ride.  
100% of every entry fee went to provide meals to our neighbors in need across north central Arkansas.

Together we package 101,388 meals at Bridge Bash with the Pack Shack

The Pack Shack made meal packaging a fun team building experience by creating a playful atmosphere filled with great music and challenges!
Volunteers brought their families, friends, church groups, clubs, and co-workers out to Bridge Bash for a one hour shift!

2015 Meal Packaging Volunteers

2015 was our first year to package meals with our friends at the Pack Shack!  Boy they really know how to throw a party!  This year in addition to the tent Randy Barnhill loaned us all the tables and NAEC loaned us one of their big tents... my how meal packaging has grown. Together our volunteers packaged 101,388 meals in just four 1 hour shifts in the VisionAmp Meal Packaging Tent!

Year two we got a bigger tent from our good friend Randy Barnhill and packaged over 74,000 meals in just one afternoon!

Food Bank of North Central Arkansas

According to Feeding America north central Arkansas has a meal gap of 4 million meals. At the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas we have closed that gap by 2 million meals already. We have done this thanks to your donations and the work of our Partner Hunger Relief Organization across our nine county service area.  To finish closing that gap we need to provide an additional 2 million meals each year.

93.5 cents of every dollar donated goes toward
Building Bridges from Hunger to Hope
in Baxter, Boone, Izard, Marion, Newton,
Searcy, Sharp and Stone.

As a Partner Distribution Organization of Feeding America the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas is specifically responsible
for serving these counties. 

Your monthly donation can be for the benefit of all programs of the Food Bank of NCA, or it may be directed to a specific county, a favorite agency, a certain program or to the Food Bank of NCA's Capital Campaign.

If  you would like your donation dedicated to a specific purpose please type this information in the dedication section
when you give online or in the memo on your check if you are mailing in your donation. 
For example: "Capital Campaign" or "ABC program"
What does 2 million additional meals look like in dollars?  
2 million additional meals worth of food is approximately $400,000 additional dollars.
How do we obtain 2 million additional meals for approximately $400,000?
We work with Feeding America, United Way, USDA, Local Grocery Stores, Partner Food Banks, Trucking Brokers with discounted or free loads, and other food sourcing partners.
What does it mean to Build Bridges from Hunger to Hope?
Each of the programs of the Food Bank of NCA are designed to Build a Bridge. 
Core Food Distribution - this is the food that is available to our Partner Hunger Relief Organizations otherwise known as Agencies of the Food Bank of NCA.
Commodities - These are the foods provided through the USDA program.  The Food Bank of NCA is an authorized distributer of the USDA program.
Move Up 2 Initiative - This Initiative consists of several programs that influence and educate individuals in three key areas: Nutrition, Life Skills and Job Skills.  Graduates of these programs are empowered to make choices that will positively influence not only their lives but the lives of their family, friends and communities. No Kid Hungry Program - The goal of this program is to increase children's access to healthy foods year round.  We work with schools, churches, pantries and other community organizations to accomplish this goal.  Click here for more information on the No Kid Hungry Program.
